Ms. Louise Walshe

I am a qualified Addiction Support Worker with a strong commitment to supporting individuals affected by addiction. My work focuses on substance use, mental health, and the wide-ranging impact addiction can have on individuals, families, and communities. I offer compassionate, non-judgemental support and work to raise awareness around alcohol, drugs, and addictive behaviours. My approach is grounded in practical, evidence-based methods that promote positive and safer choices, while always working within ethical and professional boundaries.

My training in Addiction Studies focused on how addiction develops and its effects on mental, physical, and emotional wellbeing. This includes both substance-related and behavioural addictions, such as gambling and gaming. I bring strong skills in communication, assessment, and supportive interventions, and I work with empathy, professionalism, and respect for each individual’s lived experience and recovery journey.
