She is passionate about Jungian depth psychology engaging the unconscious to experience different aspects of the psyche through dreams, imagery and active imagination. She is most interested in the mind body connection and has been working with Body Work since 2000. She brings the body into her work as a Psychotherapist.
Geraldine is trained in Neurodiversity and offers a Neuro affirming space. She honors Neurodiversity as a Neurotype that is part of human diversity. It is a natural and valuable form of difference and she focuses on being attuned to the client’s lived experience. Most recently, she is trained in Jungian Sand Tray Therapy for Adults and Expressive Arts Therapy.
Jung saw the psyche as self-regulating and felt that the ‘unconscious’ could largely be trusted to assist us in the life long process of psychological development, which he called individuation. In this light even problematic symptoms such as anxiety or depression can be seen as useful pointers drawing the individual’s attention to an imbalance in the psyche. Geraldine works face to face and online.
